Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Vardys Road Public School welcomes Healthy Canteens who successfully tendered for operation of our school canteen licence. The canteen is open from 8:30am, 5 days per week.
Their menu meets the NSW Healthy Canteen Guidelines providing a variety of foods. The canteen service complies with all Department and AHPPC guidelines for operation during COVID19 and local council Food Safety and Handling Guidelines.
Whilst physical distancing measures are in place at our school there will be no over the counter ordering by parents/carers. Recess and lunch items may be ordered online via flexischools.com.au or by sending a written order with cash via the classroom basket.
LUNCH ORDERS must be placed before 9.00am.

How do I order lunch for my child from the canteen?
· Write your child’s full name, class and food order on a paper lunch bag
· Include the amount required – exact amount is preferred
· Write any food allergies on the bag
· Have your child submit their lunch order at the canteen by 9.00am

Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring the facility does not interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
