Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
Join our P&C
We love welcoming new members, or welcoming back old ones, so if you’ve been meaning to join or rejoin we’d love to have you! Send through your membership form or get in touch with any questions via email: team@vrpspc.org.au , or check out our website: https://www.vrpspc.org.au for further information.
P&C meetings
The P&C meet in Week 4 and 8 of each term. The purpose of these meetings are to:
- provide an update on the P&C's current projects and fundraisers, financial status, and uniform shop
- gather an update from the principal.
- provide a forum for all parties to work together to organise events
- discuss any school-wide issues.
See our upcoming events, fundraising sponsors and more on the Vardys Road Public School parents and citizens association webpage.
What does the P&C do?
- Promote the interests of the school through co-operation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community and to foster community interests in educational matters.
- Provide parents with opportunities to meet together to determine the needs and aspirations of the school community; share information and views; learn about, help shape school policies and programs.
- Assist in the provision of resources, facilities, amenities and raising funds for the benefit of the school.
- Operate the school uniform shop.
Uniform Shop
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

- includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
- is appropriate for the full range of school activities
- is suitable for all body shapes.
